But for the power lines it would make a lovely jungle gym.

This tree stood outside our house in Bethesda since we moved in  in 2001.  During the storms of June 29, 2012, I watched it fall over.

  1. Greg- you should contact the county- that tree has no tap roots-it was just balanced there as I presume the others are- on the street. I do not think they are safe now. Who would have ever though the tree would have no roots? About 15 years ago when the county put in new sidewalks- they trimmed the roots back on those trees severely- they also trimmed the trees way back correctly- now the trees have grown and apparently the roots have not -and they have been trimmed radically by PEPCO- all tilting toward the houses.
